Barely 8 months after joining “Despierta América,” co-host Paul Stanley has quit Univision’s morning show.
A network spokesperson confirmed his departure with this statement:
“He went back to Mexico to work on other projects and be closer to his family. However, Paul will continue to be part of the Univision family. He will travel to Miami and continue his work in Sábado Gigante and occasionally be on DA from Mexico.”
Paul tweeted goodbyes on December 31, indicating that was his last day on the show.

Today he shared with fans that he returns to Mexico to “work hard in this new year.” He also told his fans he decided not to say farewell on the show, because “it would be like saying goodbye to something I’ll continue to do on Sábado Gigante and Amordidas.”
Paul is a co-host on Televisa’s talk show “Amor-Didas.”
