Veronica Villafañe founded Media Moves in 2007 after noticing the lack of coverage of Latino journalists, media professionals and Hispanic media in trade publications.
She set out on a mission to “turn footnotes into headlines” about Latinos in the media and showcase their work, dispelling the notion that there aren’t enough qualified professionals in the industry.
The news site highlights moves and accomplishments of Latinos in the media and news about the industry.
Since its inception, Media Moves has become a popular news site, quoted by multiple publications, and a valuable digital resource, often providing exclusive content and scoops about Univision and Telemundo.
