WNEU Telemundo Boston today announced it’s launching the station’s first-ever live local newscasts later this summer.
The Telemundo O&O will be hiring an anchor, meteorologist, reporter and producer to staff two live, half-hour weekday newscasts at 6 and 11 pm.
The Telemundo news operation, which will debut a new state-of-the-art newsroom and news set, will be co-located with the New England Cable Network (NECN), a 24-hour regional news network.
Parent company NCBU will be leveraging NECN’s management and resources to launch and operate the Spanish-language newscasts.
The new employees will be part of NBCUniversal and will be based in Newton, Massachusetts, where NECN is located.

Yes finally Telemundo Boston got local spanish newscast I know that Nelly Correno who is meteorologist for NECN will probably be meteorologist she does hourly weather updates already for the station this is a great idea because WUNI newscast is only live at 6pm and it’s 11pm show is also live but has the same information I feel like that newscast is a repeat of the 6pm,Which suck,s WUNI newscast Suck and their quality and their news team so congrats Telemundo Boston for following after 10 years of hell with WUNi

Gavin says

Michel Stud says
Good one Miguel…Lmao.
We have followed you, Gavin for ages, and we respect your level of compromise
But please, for God’s sake…no one is chasing you.
A little bit of grammar, does not hurt a bit
Not hating, just embracing you as your fans
Take it into consideration
Gavin says
I will take it into consideration thank you friend sometimes I don’t know how to read over after writing a paragraph I’m sorry. I have dyslexia.
Michel Stud says
Sorry Gavin.
It was just an observation, not an act of being abusive.
We apologize.
Gavin says
It’s all good I just get excited their big news expansion with Telemundo or Univision.
