MundoMax has hired former Univision executive Nicolás J. Valls as SVP of Advertising Sales. He’ll be based in Miami and report to network President Ibra Morales.
Valls will oversee network and local affiliate sales for Miami, Houston, and Los Angeles in the newly established ad sales structure.
Edward Jiménez, VP of National Sales, who last month was tasked with leading the new sales structure, will report to Valls.
Valls joins the recently rebranded network, formerly known as MundoFox, from the Hemisphere Media Group, where he was EVP of Advertising Sales since October of 2013, overseeing national spot sales for WAPA Television and ad sales for WAPA America.
Valls previously spent more than 25 years at Univision in various sales and marketing roles, starting with the company when it was the Spanish International Network (SIN).
He worked his way up the ranks until he left Univision in 2012 as Senior Vice President, Network Sales.
