Elizabeth Robaina is leaving Texas. She’ll be joining WKAQ Telemundo Puerto Rico as its new weather anchor for the Telenoticias Fin De Semana weekend newscasts at 5 and 10 pm. The station made the announcement today.
She starts January 19, but will debut on-air at the end of the month.
Elizabeth returns to Puerto Rico after spending a little more than a year at KTLM Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley, where she has been working since 2014. She previously did a brief stint as a weather anchor for WAPA-TV.
Before that, she worked as a weather anchor at Univision and Fox 39 in Laredo. The Cuban-born journalist is also a former contestant of Univision’s beauty pageant “Nuestra Belleza Latina.”
