KTLM Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley has promoted Carlos Sánchez to co-anchor for the station’s new 4 pm weekday newscast, which launches next Monday, September 26. He’ll be sharing the anchor desk with Dalila Garza.
Carlos was hired as an MMJ in July from Telemundo El Paso, where he was a reporter for the last two years. He previously worked at Mexico’s Canal 44, El Canal de Noticias in Ciudad Juárez.
Dalila has been an anchor for Noticias Telemundo 40 for the past 17 years.
In Chicago, Anabel Monge and Alfonso Gutiérrez will co-anchor Noticiero Telemundo Chicago a las 4 pm. Both currently co-anchor the station’s 4:30, 5 and 10 pm weekday newscasts.
Anabel joined WSNS in October of 2014 from Univision 41 in San Antonio, where she worked as an anchor and reporter for six years.
Alfonso has been with Telemundo Chicago since 2003, starting his broadcast career at the station as an intern, working his way up to lead news anchor in 2012.
