Telemundo is looking to score plenty of goals with audiences with its first World Cup broadcast.
Today, as it kicked off the 100-day countdown to the big event, the network revealed expanded coverage initiatives, addition of international soccer stars to its analyst roster and a series of content and advertising partnerships.
It also announced that the Telemundo Station Group is sending a team of 11 local station journalists to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. According to the company, the team – made up of sports, news anchors and producers from all across the country – will be the largest group of local Telemundo journalists to ever report from an international, live sporting event.
The team will produce special local shows and segments like “Acceso Rusia,” “Hoy En Rusia,” “Recorriendo Rusia.”
