After a two-month break, Lorena Ibarra returns to TV news. She has been hired at KGNS, the NBC affiliate in Laredo as a morning anchor/meteorologist.
She’ll be working on the KGNS morning show from 5:30 am to 7, as well as the midday newscast.
Her on-air debut is next Monday, October 29.
“During these couple of months off air I’ve enjoyed resting, planning my wedding and reconnecting with loved ones,” she tells Media Moves. “However, news is in my veins and I could not stay away! I look forward to informing my community bright and early every day.”
Ibarra left her anchor job KFXV Fox 2 news in McAllen in August to head back to her home town of Laredo to prep for her upcoming wedding.
Prior to her move to McAllen, she worked as an anchor for the Entravision-owned Fox and Univision affiliates in Laredo.
