Olivares returns to U.S. Spanish-language news at Estrella TV

Javier Olivares is back in U.S. Spanish-language news.

Estrella TV has hired the former Univision personality to join its news anchor team, based in Dallas.

He’ll be anchoring newscasts for three stations: Dallas’ KMPX-29, Houston’s KZJL-61 and Miami’s WGEN-8, alongside Rosy Martel.

A native of Chile, Olivares worked at Univision from 2016 to 2018. He was brought as news anchor for the launch of the network’s first midday digital newscast, but his contract was not renewed.

Most recently, he has been an international correspondent for Al Jazeera News and Canal 13 in Chile.

        Envy at Telemundo 51 ? by Sra. Silva ? ay parfavar! Le queda XL big.
        What happened ? happens that arrogance, mediocrity; would only take you to the dumps.
        And btw, “comments like these”, are only the logical inheritance after such parades by both Univision Network and Telemundo Dallas.
        And of course, his so called “Middle East Debacle”.
        This is a very tiny industry, way too small.

  3. Fresco, directo y republicano. Ya era hora un periodista que dejara de “lamer las botas” de los demócratas. He mirado su profesión aquí y siempre es centrado a la hora de opinar o dar una noticia política. Por eso no cabia en univision donde todos son mentirosos y demócratas empezando por “Jorge mentiras ramos”, lo peor del ejercicio del periodismo x. Le aseguro a este joven buen futuro en la podrida Tv que hoy tenemos que ver. Me gusta verlo en la mañana del canal8
