Enrique Acevedo is no longer at Univision as of Friday, June 25, multiple sources tell Media Moves.
Acevedo’s bio has been scrubbed from the Univision website and he has removed mention of his role as anchor at the network on social media.
His Twitter account on June 23 showed he was a Univision anchor, but by Saturday, that line was gone, only showing his involvement as correspondent for 60 Minutes’ “60 in 6” show on new platform Quibi.
A Univision news spokesperson would not confirm or deny his exit from the company, responding to questions about his departure with the following brief statement: “We’re unable to comment on this matter at this time.”
Media Moves reached out to Acevedo, but did not hear back from him at the time of this publication.
Acevedo joined Univision in 2012 as co-anchor of the network’s “Edición Nocturna” late night newscast, alongside Ilia Calderón. He has since held other roles within the company, including co-anchor of an Unimás newscast, alongside Patricia Janiot, launched in 2019.
Earlier this year, he was named correspondent for Quibi’s “60 in 6.”
Prior to Univision, Acevedo was a Miami-based correspondent for Telemundo.

Since we keep recycling materials all the time and both VP of News in Univision and Telemundo are close panas, he will be here in Telemundo Network in no time.
And on top of it, Luis Fdez loves him.
Welcome to Beacon Castle!

Es un lastima que Univision no sepa valorar lo bueno. Perot que se puede esperar de una estacion, donde sus editors ni siquieran saben escribir o hablar espanol correctamente.

Hmm he’ll be at Telemundo in no time, what’ll probably he’ll follow the route Julio Vaquero which they kinda were taking at the same time before he steered of to become Univision’s Late-Night anchor. He’ll probably continue or resume that path point where Julio Vaquero did the same thing become a correspondent preferably based in Miami. Then maybe briefly like Julio who went Trlemundi 52 Los Angeles Enrique will go local at an affiliate (probably Miami, Raleigh, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, or Orlando) for a few years though (I doubt he’ll go local not without a large major market salary). Or he’ll can co-anchor “Noticias Telemundo Fin De Semana” with Vanessa Hauc they need to return back to co-anchor format on the weekend (personally I liked solo on weekdays co-anchors on the weekend like they in 2017, but ripping it apart for a midday show for Feli which did good, so it ended up a good move after all). The bottom line I’m saying he could go a lot of career now that he’s out with Univision. It’s possible now and preferably with Telemundo.

This is why I don’t watch Univision anymore. I live in DC and if DC local 6 pm and 11 pm news on Univision WFDC 14 (ENTRAVISION) sucks! Just look at it at the national level.
I preferred to watch Telemundo 44. I liked Univision Growing up. Univision has changed a lot. Enrique is a great reporter wishing him luck on his career.
