Pierluigi Gazzolo will step down as President, Streaming and Studios for VCNI at the end of October, less than a year after taking over the role.
According to the company, he’s leaving “to focus on other interests.”
During Gazzolo’s tenure as President of Streaming and Studios for VCNI, he oversaw the launch of Paramount+, Pluto TV Latino, targeting the U.S. Hispanic market and expanded Pluto TV internationally.
Prior to his current role, Gazzolo was President, Americas for Viacom International Media Networks, renamed as VCNI after the ViacomCBS merger in December 2019.
Previously, Gazzolo was Chief Operating Officer for VIMN (2011 to 2014) and its predecessor MTV Networks International (2009 to 2011). Before 2009, he held several different roles with the company including serving as President of MTV Networks Latin America.
Born in Italy and raised in El Salvador, Gazzolo got his start in the media industry doing ad sales at the now defunct CBS Telenoticias.
