BBC Studios has named Rosemary Mercedes senior vice president, communications, Americas, effective immediately.
She’ll continue to be based in New York.
Mercedes will report to BBC Studios SVP Global Communications Gavin Dawson.
She’ll be responsible for elevating the company’s positioning in the marketplace and promoting its partnerships and activities across the industry.
Mercedes joins the company following what she says is “a remarkable sabbatical year.”
She resigned to her position as Univision’s EVP and Chief Communications Officer in March 2021, after 15 years with that company.
Earlier in her career, Mercedes worked at Halogen Communications, a public relations firm in Edinburgh, Scotland.
