Victor Hugo Rodríguez has resigned from Telemundo Arizona, where he had been a news reporter and weekend anchor since 2019.
He ended his run at the station on July 1.
Rodríguez previously worked as a Telemundo Network correspondent in Houston from 2016 to 2018, when he moved to the Los Angeles bureau.
“Working for Telemundo Network as a News Correspondent and at Telemundo Arizona as weekend anchor and news reporter has been a wonderful experience that has afforded me many valuable opportunities to learn and grow, and I am very grateful to have been part of this organization,” Rodríguez tells Media Moves.
“It has been a thrilling career journey and essentially the place where I grew up. After a ton of reflection, I decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone. Sometimes the hardest thing to admit to yourself is that you need a new challenge!”
That new challenge has translated to a new job as director of public relations for the Cartwright School District in Phoenix.
This is the second time Rodríguez explores life beyond the newsroom.
He did a stint as a public affairs specialist for an insurance company from 2013 to 2016.
