Longtime sports and news producer Alberto Cacho has transitioned into the communications space.
Based in Atlanta, he started a new role as a public affairs specialist for FEMA this week.
“After a long career behind the camera in TV production to the forefront of crisis communication, my journey with FEMA embodies the power of adaptation,” he tells Media Moves.
Prior to taking on his current job, he was a coordinating producer for The Weather Channel and also worked for Telemundo as a senior producer.
Before that, he spent 14 years as a coordinating producer for ESPN in Bristol.
Cacho previously worked as a senior producer for CNN en Español from 1999 to 2005.
His past experience includes producer roles at CNN Plus and Telemadrid in Spain.
