Rumors have been swirling since Monday that the L.A. Times was axing more jobs this week. According to Kevin Roderick from L.A. observed, staffers are expecting 35-40 positions eliminated in layoffs and “voluntary escapes.”
Apparently staffers who were laid off yesterday were given packets that identified the elimination of 10 positions: 5 reporters, 2 producers, a photographer, a librarian and a Web producer.
